Terms of service
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Thank you for using SausageSoft. We build store locators and the tools behind them so breweries and other food and beverage producers can show people where to find their products. We don't know every person who uses them, so these terms set out how the services work and what we each agree to.
When we say "Company", "we", "our", or "us", we mean SausageSoft LLC.
When we say "Services", we mean the SausageSoft website at www.sausagesoft.com and the software SausageSoft builds and runs: the public store locators we operate for breweries and other food and beverage producers, often on a producer's own domain, and the Console, Insights, and Field Map tools that a producer's staff sign in to.
When we say "You" or "your", we mean the producer that uses the Services (a "customer"), and the people that producer authorizes to sign in to them. The producer is responsible for the people it authorizes. If you visit the website without being a customer, "you" means you as a visitor, and these terms apply to your use of the website.
We may update these terms in the future. Whenever we make a significant change, we will refresh the date at the top of this page and take other appropriate steps to let customers know.
When you use the Services, now or in the future, you agree to the latest terms. If we do not exercise or enforce a right or provision of these terms, that does not mean we are waiving it. These terms contain a limitation of our liability.
If you violate these terms, we may end your access. Our privacy policy describes what data the Services handle and why, and it is part of these terms.
Account terms
- You sign in with a Google account, and we never receive your Google password. You are responsible for the security of the Google accounts your staff use, and for removing access for people who should no longer have it. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from a failure to keep those accounts secure. We recommend two-step verification on every Google account that signs in.
- You are responsible for everything your staff do in the Services and for all content they upload, including sales files, product information, and images.
- You may not use the Services for anything illegal, to mislead people about where a product is sold, or to interfere with the Services or other customers. You are responsible for following the advertising and marketing rules that apply to your products, including alcohol rules where they apply.
- Accounts are for people. Automated or scripted access is not permitted unless we have agreed to it in writing.
Payment
- Fees, billing periods, and any trial are set out in your agreement with us. If an invoice goes unpaid, we may suspend access until it is paid.
- Fees do not include taxes, levies, or duties. You are responsible for them, except where the law requires us to collect them.
Cancellation and termination
- To cancel, email us at support@sausagesoft.com from an address your business has authorized. We will confirm the cancellation in writing.
- When your account ends, your store locator and staff tools stop serving. Before then, you can ask us for an export of the data you gave us.
- We may suspend or end access to the Services for anyone who violates these terms, abuses the Services, or puts other customers at risk. We may also refuse the Services to anyone for any reason.
- Verbal, physical, written, or other abuse (including threats of abuse or retribution) of anyone working for the Company will end your access immediately.
Changes to the Services and prices
- We improve the Services all the time. Sometimes a feature is retired or redesigned. We may change or discontinue any part of the Services, temporarily or permanently.
- If we change the price of your plan, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email.
Uptime, security, and privacy
- Your use of the Services is at your sole risk. We provide them on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we do not offer a service-level agreement unless your agreement with us includes one. We take uptime seriously.
- We protect your data with encryption in transit, private storage for confidential files, and access checks on every staff request. The privacy policy describes this in more detail.
- You agree that we may process your data as described in the privacy policy and for no other purpose. People at SausageSoft access your data only:
- To help with support requests you make. We will ask for your consent before looking at your account.
- When an automated process stops partway through. We look at the minimum needed to fix it, and we work to fix the cause.
- To keep the Services secure, by reviewing logs and metadata.
- When the law requires it. We share customer data only when compelled by a valid legal order, or in limited emergency circumstances.
- We use third-party vendors, such as cloud hosting and database providers, and Google for sign-in and maps, to run the Services. The privacy policy describes them, and we will give you the current list by name on request.
- With respect to your use of the Services, we are a "service provider" under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We process the data you give us only to provide the Services, as these terms and the privacy policy describe, and we do not sell it.
Your content and ours
- Your content stays yours. That includes your sales files, product information, store lists, and the images and text you upload. You give us a limited license to use it to provide the Services, including publishing your store locator, and we claim no ownership of it.
- You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, including the images, logos, and descriptions your store locator shows.
- We do not review content before it is published, but we may remove content that violates these terms.
- The Company or its licensors own the Services, including their software and design. You get no ownership rights in the Services by using them. You may not copy or reuse their code or visual design without our written permission.
- Store locators use Google Maps. Map features are subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
The SausageSoft website
- The website describes our products. A description on the website is not an offer or a commitment. What we provide to a customer is set out in that customer's agreement with us and in these terms.
- The demos on the website use fictional producers, products, and stores, such as Balinese Room Brewing and Hogeye Haus. They show how the Services work, and nothing in them describes a real business.
- Contacting us through the website, by email or through the contact form, does not create an account or an agreement.
- You may link to the website. The rule in "Your content and ours" about copying our code and visual design applies to the website too.
Embedding
You may embed your store locator on your own website using the snippet in Console. Keep the snippet's permissions and links as provided so the store locator works for your visitors.
Features and bugs
We design the Services with care, based on our own experience and on what customers tell us. Still, no service pleases everybody, and we make no guarantee that the Services will meet your specific requirements or expectations.
We test our features before we ship them. As with any software, the Services have some bugs. We track the ones reported to us and work through them by priority, especially anything related to security or privacy. We do not guarantee error-free Services.
Liability
We mention liability throughout these terms, but to put it all in one place:
You expressly understand and agree that the Company shall not be liable, in law or in equity, to you or to any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, lost profits, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if the Company has been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from: (i) the use or the inability to use the Services; (ii) the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services resulting from any goods, data, information or services purchased or obtained or messages received or transactions entered into through or from the Services; (iii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; (iv) statements or conduct of any third party on the Services; (v) or any other matter relating to these terms or the Services, whether as a breach of contract, tort (including negligence whether active or passive), or any other theory of liability.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the Services, are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any such dispute will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Collin County, Texas, and you and the Company consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. This does not take away any right you have under the law where you live that cannot be waived by agreement.
If you have a question about any of these terms, please email us at support@sausagesoft.com.
